Term Life Insurance: Categories
Most insurance buyers are quite familiar with term life insurance. Term life insurance has been the perfect solution for people who want to enjoy maximum life insurance coverage without spending too much money on insurance premiums. What most people don’t know is that there are actually different categories of term life insurance; that is what we are going to discuss in this article.
First of all, we have level term life insurance. With level term life insurance, your premium and death benefit are constant over the term of your life insurance. Whether you have your term life insurance set for 10, 20, or even 30 years, you will be paying the same amount of insurance premiums and enjoy the same comprehensive life insurance coverage at all times.
Next, we have the annual renewable term life insurance. This type of term life insurance still offers constant amount of death benefits but the term life insurance contract must be renewed annually. Of course, you may be paying more – or less – on insurance premiums when you renew your term life insurance policy each year.
Last but not least, we have the decreasing term life insurance. With this type of term life insurance policy, you will have your death benefits decreased each year while you pay the same amount of insurance premiums. Your term life insurance premium expires when the death benefits reach zero. When used properly – combined with the right self insurance plan – this type of term life insurance can be quite beneficial.
